Show rate: the metric between booked and sold

A booked appointment is a promise. Show rate is how many of those promises are kept.

Most agencies and brokerages track leads and track sales. The stage in between, whether booked prospects actually turn up, is where a surprising amount of revenue quietly disappears.

Why prospects don’t show

They booked on impulse and forgot. The confirmation went to spam. The time no longer suits and rescheduling is harder than ignoring it. None of these is a lead-quality problem. Each is a design problem.

What moves show rate

Confirm instantly by text, in plain language, from a real name. Remind at set intervals: the day before and an hour before work well. Make rescheduling a one-reply action. Route every no-show straight into follow-up rather than leaving it to memory.

Every no-show is a lead you paid for twice.

A refinance brokerage we work with moved from a 43% show rate to 81% once automated nurture went live, with no manual follow-up from its loan officers.

Measure it weekly

Show rate is a leading indicator. When it drops, the pipeline drops a fortnight later. Review it weekly, by source and by agent, and you will see problems while they are still cheap to fix.
